As an artist, I am heavily inspired by the world’s natural beauty. When I have creative freedom, I turn to the outdoors first for the subject of my films. From feeding birds to the smallest chipmunks, I document natural environments through my lens.

Hi! I’m Lydia Bonney. A pure Michigan native, I grew up homeschooled. Nurtured in an environment where art and nature were a focal point of my education, I have pursued many artistic ventures, including dance, acting, photography, film, and video production. Currently, I am majoring in Media Arts and Studies with minors in Digital Art and Photography and Public Relations at Wayne State University.

Around fifteen years old, I started to act in films. On the sets of my various projects, I fell in love with the world of film and video production. In my later teen years, while continuing to act, I also started working behind the camera on film sets. From behind the camera, I have worked as a director of photography, producer, director, and editor in several narrative films, including “Echo Echo” (TBD), “The Act” (2023), and “Night Terrors” (2024).

In terms of documentary films, I have also created “Sute” (2023), in which I worked with one film partner, Jacob Bloom, and “Nature Center” (2024), which I created by myself.

In a more abstract approach to video production, I have also created “Weave” (2024) and “School Project” (2024).
